Peter Jay Hotez, MD, PhD, is the Dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine, Professor of Pediatrics and Molecular Virology & Microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine, and author of The Deadly Rise of Anti-Science: A Scientist's Warning (2023). On January 9, we'll welcome Dr. Hotez to Congregation Beth Israel to discuss how vaccine misinformation and conspiracies are closely connected to racial and religious prejudices, specifically antisemitism, and how we can tackle these issues strategically. 

Following his presentation, there will be a Q&A session moderated by Susan Feigin Harris. Aside from serving as President of Congregation Beth Israel's Board of Trustees, Susan leads Norton Rose Fulbright's healthcare practice group. Her expertise in the healthcare law and policy involving academic medical centers around the country, including pediatric institutions, informs the frequent strategic advice and counseling she provides to healthcare executives and general counsel.
