- Maintains and coordinates art exhibits in The Margolis Gallery throughout the year; coordinates programming for Friends of The Margolis Gallery.
Adult Education
– Programming for adult learning; Hebrew and Talmud classes, scholars-in-residence, guest speakers, etc.
Brotherhood
– Men’s group that coordinates social, community service, and religious programming for the Congregation; ushering during services and the High Holy Days.
Building/Ground Maintenance
– Helps make recommendations for building changes and renovations.
Cemetery
– Manages cemetery related policies and procedures; oversees development and expansion project.
College
– Communicates with college students regularly; sends care packages for holidays to college students.
Communications
– Oversees branding application and website content.
Facilities Use / Enhancement
– Provides input regarding use of facilities including location of artwork.
Finance
– Review operating budget, revenue and expenses.
Inclusion & Caring
– Advise on accessibility issues on campus; programming for WAYS (With All Your Soul), Gathering Place. Oversees hospital visitation and coordinates meals when necessary for members in recovery.
Insurance
– Review policies for personnel and other benefits.
Israel Advocacy
– Programming for Pro-Israel related events and speakers.
Library
- Supports archive project, Readers Group, and other needs of the Schachtel Library.
MBJLC
– Advisory committee to support MBJLC religious school.
Membership
– Coordinates membership programming for new members.
Mitzvah
– Coordinates ongoing mitzvah projects like Kids' Meals, Mitzvah Day, and other social justice programming.
Outreach
– Coordinates Basic Judaism class.
Social Justice
– Programming and advocacy work related to immigration, interfaith relations, and other political and social issues.
H-Town Jews (young professionals)
– 20s and 30s young adult programming group.
Technology
– Oversees technology needs including livestreaming and website.
Women of Beth Israel (formerly Sisterhood)
- Women’s group that coordinates social, community service, and religious programming for the Congregation.
Worship
– Works with clergy to enhance aspects of worship services including the High Holy Days.
